Jace's 2nd Birthday Party

Jace is turning two on Wednesday and we had his party this past Saturday and it was awesome!! Jace loves Toy Story and that is the theme we went with so we had a huge Toy Story jumping castle, a Woody Pinata, and Woody and Buzz Cake. My mom bought the cake for Jace which was chocolate with strawberry filling and delicious. Jace had a lot of fun and so did Jackson, well we all did. It was a bit overwhelming at times but very worth it. The jumping castle was a big hit and that is where the kids spent most of the time. Abrianna was a little too scared especially with all the kids in there. The Pinata was my least favorite part of the whole party. He was so strong and it took multiple hard hits before we finally destroyed him!
Baby Abrianna looking adorable as usual!

Commitment to Blogging!!

I really want to keep up with this blogging thing. My boys are growing so much and doing so many new and fun things everyday. I would love to be able to look back and have this to remind our family of these precious memories.
Now to the important stuff, my boys. Jackson is now attending preschool and he is loving it. He attends St. Andrews Preschool and he goes Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Jackson is learning so much, making friend and having a blast. I am super proud of him!
Jace has taken to taking his clothes off and running around the whole house with only his diaper on. It is too funny and so strange. I wonder what possesses him to do this?? What is he thinking, I wish I could be let in on his secrets. Anyway this past Saturday while I was at work I received a pic from Nick of the boys topless and smiling ear to ear. Jackson was so worried and he told nick "Uh oh, mommy gonna come home and see I took my shirt off and be mad!"
That same night I came home from work Nick took me to the boys' room and showed me Jace's arm which had a bite and was swollen. Nick thought it was an allergic reaction to a mosquito bite and assured me Jace was fine. But of course I still worried all night. I felt so bad for him because he had just gotten over a really bad viral infection that hindered his breathing both through his nose and mouth. It feels like he gets over one thing and another issue pops out.
The holidays are just around the corner and I am super excited. We have a very busy month as it is. Jace is turning 2 and we are planning a party for him at home. I have a math midterm to study for and Nick has a busy couple of weeks where he will be out of town. We also have Family pictures we are going to take and I can not wait. It will be the first family portraits since Jace has joined our family. I need to decide place to take the pics at and what to have us wear but there is still plenty of time to think about it.

Where Does the Time Go?

It is nearing the end of summer and I can not help but wonder where time has gone. Jace will be turning a year next month and I feel that he is getting so big and growing out of his baby phase. He has begun to practice his walking skills and just this morning he took a good ten steps. I was so prooud and excited for him! I am also attempting to teach him sign language which is more difficult than I thought it would be. Jace is quite impatient and if I try to stop him to get his attention he gets restless really fast. He also does his own variations of the sign. One example is "all done" in which you twist both wrists in the air, but Jace only does it with one of his wrists. I think it is so cute and as long as I understand what he is saying that is all that truly matters. Jace is also a wonderful sleeper. It is so easy to put him to bed and 98% of the time he sleeps until seven in the morning. The cry out method worked really well for him. Thank goodness we only had to do that for three nights and the Jace caught on and was able to learn how to comfort himself.
Jackson is growing up too quickly as well. He will be three in the end of December!! His favorite show to watch is Phineas and Ferb. He watches an episode in the morning and and another at night with his leche (milk). Jackson also enjoys all Pixar Disney movies, but especially Cars. It was a bit more difficult to get Jackson into a sleeping schedule but now he is a rockstar at it. Nick is the one who usually puts Jackson to bed and he does so by singing him songs like "Raincloud" or "You are my Sunshine". So Cute. Jackson loves giving me and his daddy nose kisses (eskimo kisses) before bed too. His vocabulary grows more and more everyday and I adore how he makes up his own phrases how he says certain words.
I am so grateful to be their mommy and I hope I can enjoy every second of them.

My Sick Boys

Okay, so I got the idea to start blogging from a friend. She blogs to keep it as a journal and I feel in love with the idea. Unfortunately my first blog is to write about my baby boys and their cold. They are so congested Jackson could hardly sleep last night and so neither could I. : (  I am also all by myself in taking care of them, Nick is off in San Diego with his friends and we miss him so. Jackson and Jace, even though they are sick, are behaving so well. They are still up and about and playing with their hundreds of Hot Wheels. So today, in hopes that this will help with their congestion, I am going to buy a humidifier for their room. Nick will be home tomorrow and I hope that the boys will feel better by then.
On a more exciting note Jace is taking a step all on his own before falling. He will be walking any day and it is so much fun to see him trying. Jackson, however, is enjoying it more than anyone. Whenever Jace stands Jackson begins to say "Mama, Jace walking" and then he precedes to assist Jace. I love how Jackson enjoys helping out Jace and I wish they will be close friends for the rest of their lives.
